SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: Electrical Wire THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The 366 Contracting Squadron (366 CONS) of the 366 Fighter Wing (366 FW) is conducting market research to determine the availability, interest, and capability of potential business sources qualified and able to compete for a contract to provide the following at Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648.: 2.1. #2 AWG Stranded Copper Bare. Quantity: 1,200 ft.

Specifications: The proposed item must be #2 AWG Stranded Copper Bare 2.2. Cable, 15kv, #2 AWG Cu, MV90. Quantity: 2,700 ft.

No amount of cable provided may be in a length of less than 900 ft in length. (Minimum 3x900' lengths).

Specifications: 15kV Shielded Cable. One compact stranded copper conductor. 90 degree Celsius rated. 133% Insulation level. 6 mil copper longitudinal corrugated shield. Oil and moisture resistant jacket. Wet or dry location rated. The Base currently uses Okonite, proposed cable must be compatible. 2.3. 250 KCMIL THWN-2 Stranded Copper 600V (black). Quantity: Four (4) 250ft lengths The information in this notice is based on the most current information available to date.

This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements or as needed. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information / sources sought notice. Currently, the 366 Contracting Squadron (366 CONS) at Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648 intends to issue a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation / Request for Quotes (RFQ) to those potentially interested vendors who respond to market research efforts.

Currently, the Delivery Date is projected to be in mid-July but is still to be determined. The NAICS code for this requirement is 335929, “Other Communication and Energy Wire Manufacturing” The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 Employees. The government requests interested parties to please respond/email the listed Point(s) of Contact (POC) to this notice with your company information to include SAM UEI and Cage Code, and Small Business size status if any.

366 CONS is interested in quantifying and pre-qualifying the likelihood of setting aside competition for this requirement at Mountain Home AFB to a small business. Depending upon the responses to this notice and other market research, 366 CONS may limit the competition to a specific socio-economic small business category at the exclusion of all other potential business concerns.

This announcement serves as the first step for 366 CONS to determine the viability of setting aside this requirement for competition solely within or among certain small businesses in selected categories. This is a Sources Sought Announcement only; no solicitation exists or is available at this time. Requests for a solicitation shall not receive a response. This announcement shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.

In the event a solicitation is developed, currently, the government anticipates Issuing a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation which will be posted to the GPE (sam.gov). Interested parties should respond by contacting the POC’s identified in this notice, please clearly state your interest and capability in this requirement.
