Purpose: This is a Sources Sought Notice issued in accordance with FAR Part 5 for information and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or Request for Quotation (RFQ), nor does it guarantee that a solicitation will be issued. This notice is intended to identify potential sources that can provide ballistic helmets that meet the following specifications. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice with their capability statements.
Requirement Overview: The Government requires Eighty-Five (85) ballistic helmets for base defense and precautionary landing/evasion purposes. The helmets will replace loaned units and must meet specific compatibility and functional requirements to ensure operational readiness. Due to an upcoming deployment of approximately 40% of the squadron within two months, expedited delivery is essential.
Quantities and Sizes: • 81 Ballistic Helmets – Size Large • 4 Ballistic Helmets – Size Extra Large Salient Characteristics: • Ballistic protection rated for small arms (9mm) • Compatible with DPAM NVG Mounts (Mfr Part No: 62100G04-B) • Non-proprietary rail system for accessory attachment • Gentex Ops Core Fast design • High Cut profile • 3-Hole mounting pattern • Head-Loc 4-Point Chinstrap for stability • OCC Dial adjustable fit system • Right-Eye Dominant configuration • Modular Bungee Shroud for NVG stability • PowerPath ARC Rail for mounting accessories • Color: Tan 499 • Part Numbers: • XL – A14570-03G0301 • L – A1570-02G0201 Delivery Requirements: -45 Days ADC Response Instructions: Interested vendors should submit a capability statement addressing the following:
