CANNON AFB - CISCO ISE Server Installation

This Special Notice is to communicate to industry about a Brand Name Justification, specifically for CISCO.

Background: Solicitation - Notice ID - FA485524DS01 (May 23, 2024 through May 31, 2024). The approval attached was provided by the customer and subject matter expert which provides authority and justification to use listed CISCO products. The justificaiton is further stipulated in accordance with the Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1203 and guidance from the System Authority Facility (SAF)/Chief Information Officer (CIO). The nature of this brand name justification comes from the on-going efforts to maintain cyber security for the Department of the Air Force.

Description: Cisco components were needed to establish a contract for Cisco ISE License Renewal & Installation at Cannon Air Force Base (AFB), New Mexico (NM). Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) is integrated into the federal network. Cisco ISE is essential for personnel logging into the federal network, obtaining certificates (802.1x) for their user machines, and for administrators accessing federal network devices remotely for configuration.
