Description
As published on SAM.gov.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with the format and streamlined simplified procedures in the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Subpart 12.201-1, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
The Government intends to award a single, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order resulting from this Request for Quotation (RFQ). All responsible small business sources registered in SAM.gov may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
The contractor shall supply and deliver one (1) high-capacity, modular, heavy-duty vehicle loading and unloading system consisting of one (1) industrial yard ramp and one (1) interconnected, fixed-height docking platform in strict accordance with Attachment 1 (Salient Characteristics). See full details of request for quote in attached Documentation.
Amendment 1:
Q&A 001 Q1: Characteristics - notes "certified minimum dynamic load capacity" and "certified engineering verification" for the capacity. Please provide what is acceptable for this. Do you need stamped engineered drawings?
A1: Stamped engineering drawings or a form of Data Verification Plate if applicable.
Q2: Platform is fixed height, Ramp is adjustable to be used on different trailer heights. How will the site handle moving this Ramp, as there are no wheels designated on the Ramp.
A2: Fixed platform height will not meet our requirements. Fixed location is less than ideal but manageable. If at all possible, we would like wheels attached or forklift capable movement.
Q3: For total structural weight of the products, what is the accepted variance to this target, as it will be a challenge to meet this weight targets at 50 K capacity and dimensions.
A3:
Yard Ramp: An acceptable variance of up to +10% to +15% (Ramp: up to ~11,200–11,500 lbs;
Platform: up to ~5,200 lbs) is acceptable, provided all 50,000 lbs dynamic load ratings, dimensional specifications, and safety factors are fully maintained. Offerors must clearly state the total structural tare weight in their technical proposal.
Q4: Can you refer to a brand or website that the used to develop the specs on these products.
A4: Ramp SDG30/50-128-30 & Platform SPP30/50-8-12 were used as an initial reference during market research only.
