Intent to Sole Source - 95 FGS Aircraft Covers - F-35 - TYNDALL AFB

IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services could satisfy agency requirements. The awarded contractor, Kennon Products Inc. is able to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to satisfy the need for acquiring essential protective covers for the F-35 aircraft operated at Tyndall Air Force Base.

These covers, specified under Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), include engine intake and exhaust plugs, power and thermal management system plugs, and PMAC flush port module covers for both left and right configurations. Each CLIN delineates the quantity needed to ensure comprehensive protection and operational readiness of the squadron's F-35 fleet.

The engine exhaust plugs are custom fit for the F-35 aircraft exhaust openings, made with heavy-duty vinyl material, and stuffed with a single block of sculpted urethane foam. Each plug has a zipper for foam removal and drying if necessary and features 'remove before flight' streamers sewn onto the face. The plugs will be Royal blue in color and imprinted with the 95 FGS logo. Kennon Products Inc., as allowed under FAR 6.302-1, due to their unique ability to meet the specific requirements for F-35 aircraft covers has been awarded this contract.
