RFID Automated Inventory Management Equipment

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,” as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued.

The solicitation will be evaluated and awarded per the prescribed procedures of FAR Part 13. This requirement is for the acquisition and instillation of a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) System that assigns individual and command responsibility for equipment using current technologies such as Command Access Card (CAC) and Item Unique Identification (IUID) tagging in order to enhance accountability, lifecycle management, asset management, maintenance tracking, inventory and management control while reducing paper transactions to meet the rapid response and supply demand at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.
