CX300 CSM and Radios

This purchase request is for two CX300 Communications Service Monitors and associated accessories to support maintenance of radios and navigation aids at Holloman AFB and White Sands Missile Range. The equipment is essential for annual calibration and to ensure continuous operational capability, as current support relies on outdated, borrowed gear. This acquisition will provide a sustainable, in-house solution for critical communications testing and alignment.

Air Force Engineering Technical Services (AFETS) advised the purchase direction/source for test equipment needed to maintain Air Traffic Radios and Navigation Aids. Current TO references to test equipment are obsolete and unsupportable through supply. The development of procedures, setup files, and the cable kit for a US military purpose makes this ITAR.

If we cannot control where the CX300 comes from, especially a foreign entity, then there is a risk of an International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) violation. Additionally, three other bases have already made this Sole Source Purchase: Misawa - FA520524P0075, Lajes Field - FA448624P0008, JB Pearl Harbor Hickam - FA521524C0042.
