Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued.

The Air Force intends to negotiate and award a non-competitive contract to Marvel Aero International Inc. in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(b)(7), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The requirement is for the use of two CASP/2500 Charger/Analyzer that performs all of the advanced battery support functions of the CASP/2000, but with expanded battery processing capabilities and the latest internal firmware.

Functions include fast charge, slow charge, discharge, analyze, recondition and maintenance charge. Please note that this Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source is not a formal award, but rather a notification of our intended action. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335999 and the Small Business Size Standard is 600 Employees. This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirement for notification.

Once again, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources who believe that they are capable of meeting the requirement may submit a quote to A1C Mehran Amini Tehrani at mehran.amini_tehrani.1@us.af.mil for consideration no later than 5:00 pm Eastern Time, 14 March 2025. Please include clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Air Force.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
