ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Degausser and Destruction Device must pair seamlessly, creating a one-touch, closed loop system where media enters the degausser and drops directly into the destruction device before being conveyed into a disposal bin without human interaction. Degausser must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Evaluated Products List-Magnetic Degaussers for 3000 Oersted tape and 5000 Oersted (L) and (P) hard disk drives.

Destruction Device must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Evaluated Products List-Hard Disk Drive Destruction Devices. The complete degausser, destruction device with accessories, must provide both an in-line and T configuration. The footprint of the system must not be larger 126” x 79”. Degausser must be listed in the NSA Evaluated Products List for Magnetic Degaussers (EPL-Magnetic Degaussers) for 3,000 Oersted tape and 5,000 Oersted (L) and (P) hard disk drives.

Degausser must be a tabletop and use permanent magnet technology. Degausser must use a conveyor belt to accommodate media load every 3 seconds or less for a throughput of approximately 1300 pieces per hour or more. Degausser must accept media up to 1”H x 4.3”W x 6”D, without disassembly. Degausser must have an optional Conveyor Belt that can accommodate HDD in Caddy/Sleds, up to 1.03”H x 4.41” W x 8.02”D, without disassembly.

Degausser must have a footprint no greater than: 16” W x 39”D x 17”H and a weight no greater than 265 lbs. Destruction Device must be listed in the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List for Hard Drive Destruction Devices. Destruction Device must have a throughput of at least 1,300 HDDs/hour. Destruction Device must use a deformation mechanism that does not require sharpening. Device must not use shredding technology. Destruction Device must reverse to provide jam recovery capability.

Destruction Device must have two accessory outlets, providing power and operation to a connected degausser and an out-feed conveyer belt. Destruction Device must be able to physically connect to a conveyor belt degausser for automatic transfer (non-human interaction) of media between degausser and destruction device.
