Notice of Intent for Sole Source Award to EDL Construction, Inc. for Sunshade Inspection at Whiteman AFB

The sun shades, classifed as equipment rather than real property, were originally manufactured and installed by EDL Construction, Inc. at the Whiteman AFB 442d Maintenance Group Area on the AF aircraft parking apron near builiding 1117. As the original manufacturer and installer, EDL Construction, Inc. is the sole source contractor, the sole provider of the request, and the only authorized entity permitted to inspect the 442d and 509th sun shades.

Utilizing EDL Construction, Inc. ensures proper management and issuance of manufacturer warranties and inspections that comply with DAFI management requirements IAW DAFI 21-101 Chapter 15.10.6, while preventing the voiding of any warranties offered by the company.
