Aero Wash Cleaner at Travis AFB, CA

Travis Air Force Base’s Corrosion Control program serves as the initial defense against aircraft corrosion, necessitating a continual cycle of cleaning, inspection, operational preservation, and lubrication.

Travis Air Force Base maintains a designated wash facility for aircraft washes and corrosion control services, adhering to regulations set forth by the state of California’s Environmental Protection Agency, as well as local, state, and federal laws, Air Quality Management District Regulations, and Air Force Technical Orders.

Aero Wash MIL-PRF-87937, formulated with water-dilutable and biodegradable materials, serves as the primary cleaner for washing aircraft exteriors, missiles, engines, and support equipment (SE), effectively removing light to medium soils such as greases, oils, and grime from various surfaces. The contract shall provide the following:

1. 5 EA 275-gallon totes of MIL-PRF-87937 Aero Wash. 1.1 Totes will be requested based on mission requirements and will be delivered and stored on station as needed. 1.2 All freight, handling, & labor charges must be included.
