Central Texas Wing & Flight Line Service Detachment Air Show Performance

The 47th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a direct award to Commemorative Air Force (CAF), 5661 Mariner Drive, Dallas, Texas 75237-4728 (SAM UEI: RR3MM8ZLJSA8) for Central Texas Wing & Flightline Services Detachment Air Show Performance.

Central Texas Wing & Flightline Services Detachment is the only Commemorative Air Force organization that can provide an aircraft line-up including the B-25 Mitchell Yellow Rose a WWII bomber, the C-45 Expeditor Lone Star Lady, C-47 Skytrain That’s All Brother which was the lead aircraft on the D-Day invasion, BT-13 Valiant, and the U-3 also known as the “Songbird” flown by Skyler “Sky” King of radio and TV fame.

Additionally, these aircrafts will provide two flights and will provide seating for the wings of blue jump team on the C-47 aircraft during the air show. Commemorative Air Force Fleet (CAF) is a seasoned aerial performer professional and guaranteeing Laughlin AFB will receive the quality service necessary for a successful Airshow & Open House. CAF has extensive prior experience as an aerial performer in which they have successfully met the needs of this requirement for hundreds of Airshows.

Their capabilities in the aircraft allow the execution of a safe and entertaining performance which makes them the only known source that can satisfy the government’s requirement for this service at the Laughlin AFB 2024 Airshow & Open House. This notice is not a request for quotations/proposals or an invitation for bids and no solicitation is available.

The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a single source. Interested organizations may submit clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the needed performance services in writing to karina.reyna.1@us.af.mil and alejandro.alvarado.3@us.af.mil no later than 12:00 pm (CST), 1 March 2024. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice.

If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
