AMENDMENT 1: Questions and Answers document has been added. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) Protestant Music Director Columbus Air Force Base, MS 1 Oct 24 1. CONTRACT POSITION TITLE. Protestant Music Director (Non-Personal Service)
2. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides directors, and musicians, for regularly scheduled worship services, special holy day and holiday services, and other special services including rehearsals as identified in this SOW. All music will complement the style and atmosphere of the service being supported. 2.1.
Period of Performance:
Base: 1 Oct 24 – 30 Sep 25 Option 1: 1 Oct 25 – 30 Sep 26 Option 2: 1 Oct 26 – 30 Sep 27 Option 3: 1 Oct 27 – 30 Sep 28 Option 4: 1 Oct 28 – 30 Sep 29 3. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS.
The Protestant Music Director: 3.1. Must possess and produce a resume with work history, degrees, certificates, and/or relevant training, and a minimum of three work- related references. Must have 3 years of experience as a Music Director (preferably within a military Chapel setting). 3.2. Must have 1 year’s experience coordinating and conducting a Protestant blended worship service. A familiarity with contemporary, traditional, and gospel Protestant music and an understanding of the basic Protestant doctrine. 3.3.
Demonstrate the ability to play the piano or guitar. 3.4. Must be experienced in contemporary, traditional, and gospel music, sight reading, and be able to teach harmony. Must have 1 year’s experience in leading choral ensembles. 3.5. Be available to work flexible hours due to possible variances in service times or special service/activity times. 3.6. Contractor shall be professional at all times. Attire and grooming shall be neat, clean, and proper for worship and ministry settings. 3.7.
Contractor must be willing to work in a pluralistic environment where they may come in contact with members from various faith groups and/or viewpoints. Contractor shall be professional and not denigrate individuals with a different religious perspective or viewpoint. 3.8. Must be able to utilize Media Shout/Live Worship to produce slideshow presentations/music slides appropriate for worship services. 3.9.
Must be able to receive clearance from a background investigation IAW public Law 101- 647, Section 231 (Crime Control Act of 1990 and DODI 1402.5, Criminal History Background Checks on Individuals in Childcare Service Position). An adverse finding from this investigation may result in a termination of services. Please see the attached Statement of Work for a full listing of Duties and Responsibilities.
