FY25 NEO Iris Rental & Service Fee

1. The 502d Contracting Squadron (CONS), Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Lackland, TX intends to award a follow on Bridge Action - sole-source to Immucor, Inc., under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for a Lease Price Agreement for NEO Iris Blood Analyzers.

2. This requirement is for the maintenance support and services, and software revisions for the NEO Iris Blood Analyzer, in support of the Laboratory Transfusion Service (LTS) and the Armed Service Blood Bank Center, San Antonio (ASBBC-SA), located in the 59th Medical Wing (MDW), Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center (WHASC), JBSA Lackland.

3. IMMUCOR INC., is the current contractor for these services which will expire on 03 December 2024. Due to unforeseen Governmental delays, addit ional rental time is required. The anticipated period of performance for the service will be from 04 December 2024 to 03 April 2025.

4. Immucor Inc. is the sole source provider of the NEO Iris Analyzer and reagents. These analyzers are closed systems and require all reagents be manufacturer specifically for Immucor products as described in the NEO Iris Operator Manual. 4. This NOTICE OF INTENT is not a Solicitation, or Request for Quote. Its a Government notification intended to proceed with a Sole-source. Pursuant to FAR 13.501(a)iii, Special Documentation requirements, the formal justification and approval for this action shall be posted with this publication. Please see attachment below.
