NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Z Portal

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

The 316th Contracting Squadron (316 CONS) intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Rapiscan Systems American Science and Engineering, Inc. for Service and Maintenance for existing a Z Portal X-ray Inspection System. The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The resultant action will result in a firm fixed price contract for this requirement.

The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of responses to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See the attached Justification and Approval for Sole Source for additional information.

Parties interested in this announcement shall provide detailed information of their capabilities and certifications to clearly meet the requirements stated above. Responses will be via email, to include the company’s name, point of contact, address, phone number, DUNS number, Tax ID, business size, and CAGE code.

NOTE: If documents are sent via e-mail, the contractor will be responsible for validating Government receipt by contacting the Contract Specialist below. No solicitation is available and telephone request for information will not be taken. All responses must be received before 29 May 2024 0800 EST.
