This is a sources sought synopsis in support of a market survey being conducted by the 316th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, Market Research, to determine interest and capabilities of potential sources to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary, to provide a key box to secure keys and allows tracking of who checks out/in what keys and when.
This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, a commitment on the part of the Government to later publish a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract. The Government will not reimburse the costs of preparing or submitting a response to this synopsis. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors to provide: A key box that secures/store at least 40 keys in a single unit.
The key box must allow for tracking of who checks out/in what keys and when. Access will be given via PIV card reader, pin, or fingerprints. A database of all keys stored will be available to track and update as needed. Key box must fit in a 3’ height x 2’7” width wall space.
Features requested as follows, battery backup, soft close-down with no data loss in the event of long-term power failure, item booking, reason/fault logging, access schedules, full audit trail of all users and key transactions, standalone ‘plug and play’ system and, no network, PC or external connection required.
Interested sources capable of providing this requirement must respond by e-mail to darrell.gonzalez_mcfadden.4.ctr@us.af.mil, cory.harris.5@us.af.mil and carbon copy julia.lagace@us.af.mil referencing this post no later than 20 June 2024 by 5pm EST. Interested sources shall indicate whether they are capable of providing the subject requirement, how long after issuance of a purchase order would it take to complete the requirement, and furthermore indicate their size and status as a small business (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUB Zone, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.) Please also include any pre-priced contract vehicles (such as GSA Multiple Award Schedules or NASA SEWP V) that 316 CONS could leverage in the purchase of this item.
If applicable, please include the contract # and a copy of the price list with your response. No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This source sought synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources.
