High-Power Millimeter-Wave (MMW) Upconverter Modules

The Government requires the procurement of 202 non-commercial high-power millimeter-wave (MMW) upconverter modules. These components are required for the Radio Frequency (RF) Projection subsystem of the Advanced Multispectral Development (AMD) program. The upconverters must receive an electronic signal at an Intermediate Frequency (IF) of 8.5 to 11.5 GHz and convert it to a higher RF in the Ka-band (33.0 to 36.0 GHz) with a minimum output power of 28 dBm and a gain flatness of ± 1.25 dB.

The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract on a sole-source basis to Kratos Microwave, Inc., located at 5870 Hellyer Ave, Suite 70 San Jose, CA 95138. This action will be conducted under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by RFO FAR 6.103-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."
