This contract seeks multi-band, satellite communications antennas capable of use on military aircraft. Developed antennas will be capable of communications with multiple commercial space internet (CSI) constellations in various orbital regimes such as low-, medium-, and geosynchronous earth orbits (LEO, MEO, GEO), across both Ku and Ka bands, while interfacing with modems and transceivers being matured as a result of contracts/agreements awarded under DEUCSI Call 3. This effort was competitive. This was awarded as a cost plus fixed fee contract. In selecting the appropriate contract type, the contracting officer considered the factors in FAR 16.104.
