Solicitation - Dormitory Bedroom Furniture

Maxwell AFB, AL requires bedroom furniture items that will be used to furnish the bedrooms in enlisted dormitory permanent party. (Building 696 Maxwell Blvd. Maxwell AFB 36112) The objective is to provide comfortable, attractive, and durable furniture for the Permanent party enlisted dormitory residents. This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the attached notice. This official announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes will be requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Solicitation: CLIN 0001 description has been corrected to state "Classic Series Full Size XL non-Bunkable Ladder End Bed". Please see the attached amendment. Please see the following questions and answers: Does the bed require a spring deck or is a platform bed acceptable? A) Beds will require metal bedsprings (See Statement of Requirements 2.1.5). Do the storage units (nighstands, desks, dressers) need to be Sturdy Act Compliant? A) Yes, all furniture items must be Sturdy Compliant, solid oak construction.

What should the height and width be for each drape? A) Contractor must Field measure windows prior to drape installation to ensure correct size and fit. (See Statement of Requirements 2.8)
