RFI - NE CRESCENT LAKE NWR - BACKHOE REPAIRS

This is not a Solicitation for Offer, nor is this a Request for Proposal. The Cresent Lake NWR in Ellsworth, Nebraska requires services to address an oil leak on a 2010 CAT 430E Backhoe (SN # CAT 0430ECSCD00341). The leak has been preliminarily diagnosed by a field technician as potentially originating from the drive pump mounting seal.

Objectives: 1. Equipment Transport - Transport of the 2010 CAT 430E Backhoe to a repair shop 2. Inspection and Verification - Wash the equipment remove oil and debris - Conduct a thorough inspection to verify that the leak is originating from the drive pump mounting seal.

3. Repair (Conditional) - If the drive pump mounting seal is confirmed as the source of the leak: - Remove the faulty drive pump mounting seal. - Install a new drive pump mounting seal as quoted. - If the leak is determined to originate elsewhere, the contractor shall notify the Government representative for further instructions.

4. Testing and Validation - Test the equipment to ensure the leak has been resolved and the backhoe is functioning properly. - Provide a detailed service report documenting findings, repairs, and any additional recommendations. The NAICS Code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. Interested vendors shall meet the following:

- Certified CAT dealer with qualified technicians trained to work on CAT 430E Backhoes. This is not a request for proposals, only a request for information for planning purposes, and does not constitute a solicitation. A solicitation may or may not be issued.
