NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), Pine Ridge School, intends to enter into a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Only One Source. The Government has determined that only one responsible source is available, and no other source will satisfy agency requirements due to the unique circumstances of this requirement.

CDBFJXPN7KL5 Estimate Grand Total: $77,107.54 (base and all options value) The select Contractor recently installed a new security camera system at Pine Ridge School. During performance it was discovered that network switches were not working. As a result, the contractor was unable to turn the system on in order to finish final programming and staff instruction on system use.

Switching vendors will void warranty if an alternate company tampers, reprograms, and alters the new equipment provided by the incumbent Contractor. In order to install new switches and get the security camera system fully operational, a company must be able to access and program the new camera system. The incumbent is determined to be fully capable and qualified to provide network switches. The government does not anticipate a significant cost saving through competition, only processing delays.

The company is an 8(a), HUBZone, Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise. A sole source award is in the best interest of the government. A competitive solicitation will not be issued. Technical questions will not be answered for this requirement being this is not a request for quote nor proposal and the government is not accepting quotes nor proposals in response to this notice. Any contractor information provided in response to this notice is strictly voluntary and shall be at no cost to the government.
