Description

As published on SAM.gov.

The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC) – Supply Chain Management Directorate (SCMD) – Strategic Sourcing Directorate (SSD), intends to acquire Parts to support the Electric Power Plant (EPP III) on the PATRIOT Missile Defense System.

Requirements Description: The load bank is a piece of electrical test equipment used to simulate an electrical load, to test an electric power source. The load bank is used to provide field preventive maintenance checks and services of the Electric Power Plant (EPP III) on the PATRIOT Missile Defense System. The EPP III is the main electric power source for the PATRIOT Missile Defense System. The load bank is used on the 150 KW, 400Hz generator sets on the EPP III.

In the EPP III, this relay monitors electrical frequency and helps control or protect generator operations by opening or closing electrical circuits when frequency conditions change. Its function is critical to maintaining proper power quality and protecting connected equipment from abnormal operating conditions. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP) for the parts. The LOAD BANK, ELECTRICA was last purchased on 8/17/2026 through Contract # SPRBL1-20-D-0015 for a quantity of 21.
