RFI for Vendor Comments on Updated MIL-PRF-32271

The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC) – Supply Chain Management Directorate (SCMD) – Strategic Sourcing Directorate (SSD), intends to acquire feedback to support the General Performance Specification for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Batteries, MIL-PRF-32271.

Requirements Description: The Government is seeking comments on the updated specification sheets for MIL-PRF-32271A, General Performance Specification for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Batteries.

The specifications to be updated includes the subject base document and ten slash sheets for the following batteries: MIL-PRF-32271/1B, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/1 MIL-PRF-32271/2, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/2 MIL-PRF-32271/3, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/3 MIL-PRF-32271/4, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/4 MIL-PRF-32271/5, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/5 MIL-PRF-32271/6, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/6 MIL-PRF-32271/7, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/7 MIL-PRF-32271/8, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/8 MIL-PRF-32271/9, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/9 MIL-PRF-32271/10A, Performance Specification Sheet for Non-Rechargeable Lithium Battery, M32271/10 To receive copies, please provide a request with proof of status as a Government contractor to the POCs listed below. Requested Response Information: Comments should cite: -Exact specification reference (e.g. paragraph number, table number, etc.) -Recommended change -Reason for recommended change (e.g. error correction, enhancement, significant cost savings, etc.) In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number.

Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. All comments received will be considered but are considered non-binding.

Failure to respond will not adversely affect an offeror’s ability to participate in future acquisitions. All SSA responses should be emailed to the Points of Contact at the email addresses listed below. No phone inquiries will be accepted, either as a response to this action or for information requests. All requests for information must be submitted via email to the Technical Point of Contact and the DLA Aberdeen Small Business Office.
