UPDATE 03OCT2024: Due date for Questions is extended to 11OCT2024, by 1:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). DARPA seeks innovative proposals for the Sync program. The objective of Sync is to investigate orthogonal approaches to counter UUVs that do not rely on the complex detection and localization of the UUV to defeat the adversary. Sync will investigate several different approaches to defeat the UUV, starting with modeling and simulation eventually moving to hardware in the loop and pool testing.

Breakthrough technologies demonstrated in the lab will lead to follow on expansion efforts. See instructions in section 1.3 to request the classified addendum for further program information. Sync is a 15-month Base Period with the potential for follow-on Expansion period(s). DARPA anticipates multiple performers will receive Base Period awards, and only the most promising approach(es) may be selected to move on to potential Expansion period(s).
