The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item of standing timber on approximately 48 acres within one (1) block at Ethan Allen Firing Range Installation, Chittenden County, Vermont. Approximately the following volumes to be harvested from within the designated block boundary: The sale is being sold per unit, a bid requires a 20% of total bid amount accompanied in certified funds. An additional 10% in advanced payment is due prior to commencement of timber harvest.

Item 1: Fiegle Hill West Round 2. 1 BLOCK (35 ACRES) WHITE PINE – 58.10 MBF WHITE ASH – 17.93 MBF RED OAK – 15.71 MBF RED MAPLE – 14.62 MBF SUGAR MAPLE – 8.6 MBF EASTERN HEMLOCK – 6.5 MBF PAPER BIRCH – 4.3 MBF AMERICAN BEECH – 1.57 FIREWOOD – 306 Cord CHIPWOOD – 1,255 Ton Contract Period of Performance: Item # one (1) Big Pine North Timber sale: All harvest operations including tree felling, skidding, processing at the log landing and hauling shall be completed by 1 March 2026, final site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 30 June 2026. No tree cutting 1 April to 14 October.

INSPECTION INVITED ON WEDNESDAY January 22, 2025, AT 9:00 a.m. AN ADDITIONAL DATE AND TIME MAY BE AVAILABLE DEPENDING ON SCHEDULING ACCESS & AVAILABILITY. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 30, 2025 by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached within this posting as an Invitation for Bid link as a pdf file.
