The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source Labor Hour purchase order for 2 PhD research associates from the Purdue School of Biomedical Engineering are leaders in the field regarding color and spectral analyses in biomedical applications as well as biology-informed machine learning.
The team won first prize at the National Institutes of Health Technology Accelerator Challenge in 2020. They are at the forefront of reciprocal Innovation—the bi-directional and iterative exchange of a technology, methodology, or process between lower and higher income countries to address common health challenges and provide mutual benefit to both sides. Reciprocal innovation often entails transferring knowledge/technology used to detect disease in clinical settings to field conditions.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be reviewed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
