Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The University of California, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory requests a proposal for fabrication of large aluminum structures in support of the Test Facility Dipole project (“TFD”). A key component of the TFD are the aluminum shells, which will contain a superconducting magnet assembly. Each of these shells must be fabricated to high precision and strict tolerances from a single forged aluminum casting in the shape of a cylinder. Two of these fabricated aluminum shells are the subject of this solicitation.
