Sole Source Notice for 30 CES/CEO Generator

**Notice of Intent to Sole-Source** The 30th Civil Engineering Squadron, Vandenberg SFB, CA, intends to issue a sole-source procurement action to Cummins Ventura, Inc. for the provision of a Cummins, Inc. repair technician. This technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair an inoperable Human Machine Interface (HMI) to restore generator operations.

The generator, a Cummins Model QST30-G5 NRS, Serial Number 37279607, is located in Building 23215 at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) Tracking Station and provides emergency backup power for the 21st Space Operations Squadron (SOPS). The certified Cummins, Inc. technician will use proprietary software to connect to the nonfunctional control panel, determine the root cause of the issue, and restore generator operations.

This proposed contract is for a service where the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days of publication of this notice.

Firms wishing to challenge this sole source must submit a letter of interest demonstrating their ability to provide an equivalent service as described above. Interested parties must provide a rationale as to why they should be considered. Responses must be sent to the point of contact below, referencing contract number FA461024P0064, by 13 Sept 24 at 1 p.m. (PST). The Government’s decision not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is at its sole discretion.
