SOFM Path to Auditability

USSOCOM requires support to receive comprehensive data collection and aggregation assessment to successfully achieve auditability of sensitive activities and higher classified operations.

Without conducting a proper assessment that includes the review of the current business practices, processes and utilized tools that support and manage USSOCOM’s financial management office, USSOCOM risks the progression to auditability and information improperly being disclosed through the aggregation of data and finally the ability to achieving a clean audit opinion. It’s USSOCOM’s goal to achieve an unmodified/clean opinion.

Achieving full auditability for all USSOCOM financial statements is of paramount importance. Due to the geographic dispersion of the USSOCOM Components, Sub?unified Commands, and TSOCs the contractor must have the capability and capacity to perform the assessment at some of these locations. USSOCOM requires a multi-phased assessment methodology that is tailored to support an USSOCOM’s objectives.

SOFM’s business practices and processes and tools require a full scope audit readiness assessment that focuses on improving data quality, improving the ability to generate complete and capture accurate data to support financial transactions and ultimately progress to auditable financial statements.
