The U.S. Department of Education (ED) is issuing a Request For Information to conduct market research and determine if sufficient interest and capability exist in the marketplace for The College Financing Plan requirement. This notice is NOT a request for proposals (RFP) but is an invitation for potential offerors to express interest and supply information regarding their relevant knowledge, skills and capabilities.
Information submitted in response to this Request for Information (RFI) may be used to aid the Department in finalizing its acquisition strategy. The College Financing Plan is a model aid award letter that participating institutions use to notify students about their financial aid package with a special focus on the net price a student is responsible for paying after subtracting grant aid.
The standardized form that is designed to simplify the information that prospective students receive about costs and financial aid so that they can easily compare institutions and make informed decisions about where to attend school. The College Financing Plan became available for use beginning in the 2013-2014 award year and has been modified several times since then. The College Financing Plan also includes data regarding an institution's graduation rate and information regarding median borrowing at the institution.
