Notification of 374 CONS Intent to Award a Single Source Purchase Order to DENKI KOGYO CO.,LTD.

The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, management, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, labor, and any other items or services necessary to perform repairs on the American Forces Network (AFN) two (2) tower Phase Array Amplitude Modulation (AM) antenna system and to replace the medium intensity aviation obstruction lights (OM-6) from incandescent bulbs to LEDs. The work is located at Momote Transmitter site in Wako-shi, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

All work shall be performed in accordance with this PWS, its appendix, manufacturer standards, commercial standards, and the following specifications, laws, and standards: 1. Building Standard Law of Japan??????) 2. Japanese Aviation Law????) 3. Japanese Radio Law????)

Contractor’s Qualification: The contractor is required to provide licensed employees with the following licenses:

1. Chief Telecommunications Engineer???????????

2. 1st Class, Land (Radio) Transmission Engineer/Technician????????????

Contract Manager’s Qualification: The contract manager and alternate shall possess a 1st Class Architectural Work Supervision license / First-class construction management engineer?????????????to oversee the structural and telecommunications work.
