NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: BOEING 737 MAX (-8, -9) PILOT QUALIFICATION TRAINING

NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration Academy, intends to award a single source contract to Boeing US Training and Flight Services Virginia Gardens, FL for proposed Boeing 737 MAX (-8 -9) Pilot Qualification Training. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System, AMS 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source when it is determined to be in the best interest of the FAA. This procurement is considered to be single-sourced to Boeing US Training and Flight Services based on the following:

In accordance with the FAA training requirements established by policy, Aircraft Certification services (AIR), and Flight Standards (AFB-500); all training for FAA inspectors and/or pilots must be obtained within an approved training program as set forth in 14 CFR Parts 121, 135, 141 or 142 as applicable and pursuant to the PWS and requirements of Flight Standards and Aircraft Certification services.

Boeing US Training and Flight Services L.L.C. has been identified as the only source capable of providing the required training with the appropriate FAA certifications. This announcement is for informational purposes only and not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to Boeing US Training and Flight Services Virginia Gardens, FL and is not available for full and open competition.
