FY26-FY31 Small Boat Maintenance and Repair Services

RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT.

Joint Base Charleston (JB CHS), located in Charleston, SC seeks a contractor to provide support services to perform maintenance and repair of Waterfront Operations small vessels and support equipment. The contractor provides all personnel, equipment, materials, supervision and other items necessary to perform maintenance and repair of Government vessels for JB CHS-WS IAW all local, State and Federal regulations, Standard Commercial Practices and the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

The services under this contract are considered to be Mission Essential, therefore the Contractor will be required to perform during various contingency situations (i.e., inclement weather, increased force protection levels, etc.). Interested parties should provide the following information:

4. Do you believe this acquisition should be assigned a different NAICS other than 488390 - Other Support Activities for Water Transportation? If so, which one?

5. Do you believe this acquisition should be assigned a different PSC other than J019 - Maint/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment—Ships, Small Craft, Pontoons, and Floating Docks? If so, which one? The government is seeking responses from all qualified sources.
