Request for Information – Improved Rotary Wing Electro-Optical Sensor This is a request for information notice in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The Technology Contracting Office (TAKO) is conducting market research in support of the requirement described in this announcement. The objective of this market research is to identify potential sources and if there are small business sources capable of performing the requirement.
The Government will use the information received for acquisition planning purposes. Source responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy for a possible Request for Proposal (RFP), to be issued at a later date and whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. This notice shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation.
The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request, so proposals will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. Response is strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal RFP process that may take place in the future.
However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence the Government’s acquisition strategy. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted as a result of this sources sought notice.
Requirement: Sources with a non-developmental airborne turreted, electrooptical sensor systems for rotary wing aircraft capable of meeting the Government’s System Performance Specification (SPS). The SPS is controlled unclassified information (CUI) subject to U.S. export controls and is available to sources eligible to receive CUI – export controlled. Interested sources can email a request to julia.a.kennedy.civ@socom.mil. As part of the request, the source must provide a copy of a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Joint Certification Program (JCP) approved DD Form 2345, DD Form 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, see the JCP website for further information.

Late responses will not be accepted.
This is strictly market research, and the Government will not entertain any questions at this time. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government appreciates industry’s interest and thanks interested companies in advance for responding to the Sources Sought. Qualified sources shall submit a statement of interest on sources’ letterhead demonstrating the source’s qualifications to perform the defined work. Responses must be complete and sufficiently detailed to address the specific information. The documentation shall address, at a minimum, the following:

1. Sources name and address;
2. Affiliate information: parent sources, joint venture partners, and potential teaming partners;
3. Year the firm was established and number of employees;
4. Two points of contact (names, titles, phone numbers and email addresses);
