Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Ciena Government Solutions

The 30th Contracting Squadron (30 CONS) intends to award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1) to Ciena Government Solutions Inc. for the purchase of Service Delivery Switch, Service Aggregation Switch, and a Broadband Interface. Qty 2 (two) x 6500 Broadband Interface Packages as described on the attached “Bill of Materials” under heading 6500 to include listed item codes and quantities of Broadband Interfaces.

Qty 1 (one) 10Gb 5142 Service Aggregation Switch Package as described on the attached “Bill of Materials” under heading 5142 to include listed item codes and quantities of Core, Software licenses, SFP+, and SFPs. Qty 3 (three) 3926 TDM Service Delivery Switch Packages as described on the attached “Bill of Materials” under the heading 3926, to include listed item codes and quantities of Core, Cables, Software Licenses, Traffic modules and SFPs. This is not a request for proposal or quote.

This acquisition is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334290 with a Small Business Size Standard of 800 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.

All, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same item and or service. All capability statements received by the closing date of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
