Sole Source Notice of Intent: DTN, Meteorological Subscription

The Western Area Power Administration, Headquarters, intends to acquire on a Single Source basis to DTN, for the Meteorological Subscription, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Simplified Acquisitions. The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) uses real-time meteorological services for valid and accurate weather forecasts and weather data feed for weather situational awareness inside WAPA’s footprint.

DTN, shall provide existing location based meteorological monitoring and forecasting services necessary for WAPA’s near real-time weather situational awareness and must provide FERC Order 881 requirements. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS/QUOTES. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement in response to this requirement, which shall be considered by the Agency.

Capability statements must be received no later than the due date stated on this notice and shall include documentation on ability to satisfy the Government's requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
