Description

As published on SAM.gov.

USACE Savannah District will be hosting a virtual Industry Day 26 September 2024 from 9:00am to 12:00am. Solicitation W912HN24B5005 for the Brunswick Harbor Modifications Project was recently cancelled due to a lack of funding. Following cancellation, the Government is investigating additional opportunities to control costs of this project.

The project requires approximately 207,000 cubic yards (CY) of material to be dredged from the Cedar Hammock Range bend widener and approximately 435,000 CY of material to be dredged from the turning basin feature at the Colonel’s Island Terminal. Formerly, the 207,000 CY from the Cedar Hammock Range bend widener was to be placed at a Beneficial Use site on Jekyll Island.

The Government is considering providing the Contractor the option of disposal of that material at either the Beneficial Use site on Jekyll Island or at the Andrew’s Island Dredged Material Containment Area (DMCA). The 435,000 CY from the turning basin feature would be disposed at Andrew’s Island DMCA. Previously, the Government had required that all work be performed within a 365-day period of performance. The Government is considering providing the Contractor additional time on the period of performance.

The Government is soliciting feedback on these and other potential options to provide the contractor flexibility, reduce risk, and control costs. This Virtual Industry Day is ONLY open to contractors that is capable of performing the work on mention above. Please send all questions to Rohan Bryan at rohan.a.bryan@usace.army.mil, and Cpt. Nathan Aylesworth at nathan.a.aylesworth@usace.army.mil.
