Notice of Intent: The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole-source procurement (under FAR authority 6.302) to HDT Expeditionary Systems INC, Solon OH.

Background and Justification: HDT Expeditionary Systems meets all specifications and requirements needed and is available to schedule. Regional Port Security Units are required to maintain Deployable TV projector for training, conferences, and meetings. This purchase will procure a HDT Deployable Projector. This equipment has been briefed and identified as mission critical through Regional Port Security Units chain of command. Cannot include further use due to OPSEC concerns as briefed to Commanding Officer and District. Supplier is the only company that makes a product with this capability and purpose for the U.S Government, aligns with Standardized Deployment Operations.

A determination not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
