Training for NLM Staff on Effective Scientific Communication

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to negotiate on a sole-source basis with the Research Foundation for the State University of New York, W5510 FRANKS MELVILLE MEMORIAL LIBRARY, STONY BROOK, NY 11794-0001, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a Single Source.

Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g.urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization). The objective of this requirement is to provide training for NLM Staff on Effective Scientific Communication.

The Contractor shall provide professional services to NLM to include offering virtual training for up to 20 attendees per session on techniques, methods, and skills to powerfully and effectively communicate their research and science. The contractor shall be responsible for performing all meeting coordination, development of curriculum, instruction and facilitation, and other logistics required to support the tasks.
