The Genetics of Neuronal Signaling Section at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) seeks to purchase probes to identify and quantify RNA molecules belonging to specific genes. These probes are to be used in mouse brain tissue to validate and enhance findings from previous studies that the lab has been undertaking. The chosen method for this is the RNAScope assay as it allows the ability to detect 48 genes in the same tissue in a quantitative manner.
