Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source contract to Getty Images (US), Inc. 195 Broadway, FL 10 New York, NY 10007-3140 for Getty Images Premium Access. CDC has a requirement for access to stock photography, stock videos, and a service that creates custom images, in order to create public health communications.
Getty is the only vendor that provides both unlimited downloads (which enables CDC to service client requests without extensive prohibitions) and a photo and image database with the breadth and depth necessary for service to CDC. Getty provides historic, scientific, editorial, and creative graphics that allows CDC to provide visual communication beyond our physical capacity to travel, document, and create.
Getty is also unique in that it allows clients (not just license holders) to identify images to 'boards' that can then be accessed by license holders which significantly expedites the development process, essential when time is limited in development of materials. There is no comparable vendor with that access. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
Nemours Children’s Health Foundation is the only source capable of fulfilling this requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations / responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.
A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to contract specialist at ttu3@cdc.gov. Questions or responses will not be accepted by phone.
