70Z0G124BBBOS0078 SYNOPSIS ISSUE DATE: 9 January 2024 This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR Part 14 and 19. This acquisition is a 100% Set-Aside to Small Businesses. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a Small Business Size Standard of $39.5 Million. The Product Service Code is Y1PZ – Construction of Other Non-Building Facilities.

The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Providence (USCG CEUP), has a construction project for structural repairs to the covered mooring floating dock located at U.S. Coast Guard, Base Boston, Boston, MA. Scope of Work The contract is required to perform a complete inspection of the Covered Mooring Floating Dock’s underwater condition.

The contractor shall then provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and disposal required to perform structural repairs to the Covered Mooring Floating Dock to include replacing nine underwater steel bracings, bolt connections, and brackets. All permits have been received from the Boston Conservation Commission and the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers. The estimated price range of this Project is between $100,000 and $200,000.

A solicitation for this requirement will be posted, along with the specifications and drawings, to SAM.gov on or about 24 January 2024. Sealed bidding procedures, in accordance with FAR Part 14, will be utilized. The tentative date set for bid opening is 27 February 2024 at 2:00p.m., local time Warwick, RI. Bids must be valid for a minimum of 60 days. The period of performance is 100 days.
