Recapitalize Family Housing, Station Portage, USCG Station Portage, Dollar Bay, MI

This update to the original Sources Sought is being published to determine additional interest in this project. This solicitation may go out as Full and Open as there does not appear to be sufficient small business interest with the capability to perform the requirements for this Design Build Construction Project.

If you are a business either large or small interested in this project, please provide a capability statement with evidence of performance of Design/Build Construction project consistent with the project specifications in this notice by Close of Business, February 12, 2024 to Michele.B.Williams2@uscg.mil. The United States Coast Guard has a requirement for a Design/Build project to be located at the USCG Station Portage, Dollar Bay, MI.

Project specifications include the construction of seven (7) family housing units. If all options are awarded, this project will be comprised of 7 housing units in two (2) duplex structures and (1) tri-plex structure in the area where previous USCG housing complexes were demolished. In addition, one maintenance building, additional parking, playground, and septic system upgrades will also be constructed. The magnitued of this project is extimated between $8 Million to $8.5Million.

Based on this estimation, the Government anticipates at least two small businesses will show interest in this project and anticipates a Total Small Business Set-Aside once the solicitation is issued. The 95% Draft RFP Specifications will be attached to this Sources Sought to allow prospective small business an opportunity to review the current requirements of this project. Currently, the USCG is publishing this Sources Sought to determine if there is sufficient interest by small business for this requirement.
