USCG Station Destin Gate/Fence Repair

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 36, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors, (FAR Part 36) evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached.

The solicitation number is 70Z02924QNEWO0001 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clauses and Department of Labor Wage Rates for Construction are included in this order and are applicable.

Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR Part 36, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR Part 36 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes but is not limited to the following:

In accordance with FAR Part 36, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR Part 36. Where the word "offer/offeror" or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to "quote/quoter" or a derivative of that word. This is a small business set aside, the applicable NAICS code is 238210 the PSC code is Z2AZ.

This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract awarded to the offeror with the Lowest Price technically accepted or in the best interests of the US Coast Guard. Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.sam.gov.

The U.S. Coast Guard Awarded Contractor shall remove and replace a gate opener, keypad and approximately 1200’ feet of overhead barbed wire on front portion of entrance fence and other associated functions as defined in the statement of work. Please see the attached Statement of Work for specifications of work, including pictures and POC for site visits. Turnaround time for this project will be a 30 DAY ARO FOB Destination to:

United States Coast Guard Station Destin 2000 Miracle Strip Pkwy Destin, FL 32540 FAR 52.237-1 -- Site Visit (Apr 1984). Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services/construction are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
