Maintenance of Z Portal Truck and Cargo Inspection System

The Federal Protective Service Acquisitions Division intends to solicit and negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with American Science and Engineering, Incorporated, 829 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821-3907, for the maintenance of a Z Portal Truck and Cargo Inspection System under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by FAR 13.501. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) will not be made available.

A Sole Source Justification will be posted to.sam.gov website following award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334517 (Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing) and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. Interested parties may submit capability statements to Stacey Brown at Stacey.Brown@fps.dhs.gov in response to this notice. A determination to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice will be solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
