Sustainment of Radiation Detection Equipment (RDE) and Large Scale (LS) Non- Intrusive Inspection (NII) Equipment and support service

This Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Task Order, 70B04C22C00000103, is hereby issued to SMITHS DETECTION INC (SMITHS), in response to solicitation Request for Quote (RFQ) 70B04C24P20143228 for the Maintenance and Technology Support Services for Specific Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII), Gamma Imaging/X-ray Equipment, and Radiation Portal Monitors (RPMs) for Integrated Logistics Division (ILD). The equipment detects illicit material as well as radiological threats that are attempting to enter or exit the borders.

The systems must be operational 24x7x365 to ensure people, cargo, mail, and transportation continue to move safely and securely with minimal or no delays in service. Smiths Detection Inc provides technically complex and high-value inspection, detection equipment systems, currently being used by CBP to assist in securing the land border crossings, airports, seaports, rail crossings, mail handling, and express cargo consignment facilities within the United States and in participating countries.

Smiths Detection Inc is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only provider of these supplies, parts, and services. No other service or equipment will meet the Government's needs.
