The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded a contract to ADB Safegate (ADB), Columbus, OH for acquisition of Runway Status Light (RWSL) System equipment to include individual light controllers and master lighting controllers. The contract was awarded as a one-time, fixed price contract. ADB Safegate is the only manufacturer that builds light controlling equipment and fixtures that will ensure the FAA baseline is maintained and that will work with existing components.
There are no other known companies that manufacture products that are “plug and play” compatible with existing ADB RWSL systems. ADB has no authorized distributors who provide these products. A market survey (6973GH-24-MS-00013) was posted to the SAM.gov web site on March 12, 2024. No responses were received in response to the market survey.
Additionally, a Notice of Intent to Single Source (6973GH-24-R-00102) was posted to the SAM.gov web site on April 4, 2024. Contract 6973GH-24-C-00083 was awarded on May 1, 2024 to ADB Safegate for a total value of $2,061,630.90. This announcement is for information purposes only, not a request for proposals.
