NOTICE OF INTENT FOR BRAND NAME SOURCE JUSTIFICATION: THE EASTERN FEDERAL LANDS HIGHWAY DIVISION (EFLHD), FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION (FHWA), INTENDS TO PROCURE FROM AN AUTHORIZED INFRATEST USA RESELLERS, A INFRATEST USA GTR MODEL ASPHALT ANALYZER AUTOMATIC EXTRACTION DEVICE FOR THE LABORATORY. THE INFRATEST USA GTR MODEL ASPHALT ANALYZER IS THE ONLY TYPE OF BITUMEN EXTRACTOR TO ACCOMMODATE TESTING MIXTURES CONTAINING SYNTHETIC FIBERS OR GROUND TIRE RUBBER.

THIS MODEL IS THE ONLY BRAND NOT TO REQUIRE A CHILLER, AND ALSO CONFIDENTLY USES DIMETHYLCHLORIDE AS A SOLVENT. ALL AUTHORIZED AND RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION WHICH, IF RECEIVED TIMELY, WITHIN 15 DAYS OF THE POSTED DATE, SHALL BE CONSIDERED BY THE AGENCY.
