ABS Classification Survey and Services

The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation Contracting Office, intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract in the amount of $106,595.00 to the American Bureau of Shipping., under authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, for the annual ABS vessel surveys and services for the classification of the M/V Seaway Guardian.

This contract will consist of one (1) 12-month base year and four (4) 12-month option years. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 541990. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored.

A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for the annual ABS classification survey and services for the M/V Seaway Guardian. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.
