The Government anticipates placing a firm fixed price supply order for 157,500 custom-made 4" polyester air filters. Part #335019. The filters are crafted by Gusmer Enterprises Filters Materials Division in Waupaca, WI. The EPA's National Analytical Radiation Environmental Laboratory (NAREL), Radiation Network Monitoring System (RADNET) uses these custom filters because they permit uninterrupted high-volume air sampling for over one continuous week without operator intervention(s).
No other filter is known to provide this required capability. The EPA's NAREL RADNET air filter program comprises high-volume air-monitoring stations at over 100 locations throughout the United States. The monitors collect air particulate on air filters, which then undergo laboratory analysis to determine the type and quantity of radioactive material collected by the filter.
Any change in filter composition could invalidate the evaluation of long-term trends in the data from the laboratory analyses of these air filters. Interested and qualified potential offerors should submit a capability statement that demonstrates their ability to provide the custom air filters within the timeframe and location identified above. Capability statements shall be no longer than five pages.
Capability statements will be shared with appropriate Government personnel, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Capability Statements must include the following, at a minimum: Company name, address, phone number, and email address for a point of contact.
Based on the Small Business Size Standard identified above, please indicate if your company is a Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), SBA Certified 8(a) or Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB).
